Cookies Policy
1. What are cookies?
The website owned by Casablanca Members, S.L. (hereinafter, “the web” or “the website”) uses cookies and/or similar technologies that store and retrieve information while you browse. In general, these technologies can serve very different purposes, such as recognising you as a user, obtaining information about your browsing habits or personalising the way content is displayed.
Users can set their browser to notify them of and reject the cookies sent by the website. This does not prevent access to the website’s contents, but the website may not work as well.
The specific uses we make of these technologies are described below.
2. What types of cookies are there?
Depending on how long they last, cookies can be divided into:
| Session cookies | Designed to collect and store data while the user is on a website. They are usually used to store information that only needs to be kept to provide the service requested. They expire when the user closes the browser. |
| Persistent cookies | The data remain stored on the device and can be accessed and processed for a set period, depending on when their purpose is fulfilled (for example, to keep the user logged in to the Services), or until they are deleted manually. |
Depending on their owner, they can be divided into:
| First-party cookies | Sent to the user’s device from a computer or domain managed by the publisher itself, from which the service requested by the user is provided. |
| Third-party cookies | Sent to the user’s device from a computer or domain that is not managed by the publisher but by another entity that processes the data obtained through the cookies. |
In addition, depending on their purpose, cookies can be classified as follows:
| Technical cookies | They allow the user to browse a website, platform or application and use its different options or services, including those the publisher uses to manage and operate the website and enable its functions and services, such as identifying the session or controlling traffic and data communication. | |
| Preference or personalisation cookies | This type of cookie remembers your preferences for the tools found in the services, so you do not have to set up the service again each time you visit. For example, this type includes: | |
| Volume settings of video or audio players. | ||
| Video streaming speeds compatible with your browser. | ||
| Geolocation cookies | Used to find out which country you are in when you request a service. This cookie is completely anonymous and is only used to help tailor the content to your location. | |
| Registration cookies | Registration cookies are created once the user has registered or later logged in, and are used to identify them in the services for the following purposes: | |
| To keep the user identified so that, if they close a service, the browser or the computer and return to that service at another time or on another day, they are still identified, making browsing easier without having to log in again. This can be removed by clicking “log out”, which deletes the cookie; the next time the user enters the service they will have to log in again. | ||
| To check whether the user is authorised to access certain services, for example to take part in a competition. | ||
| Analytics or measurement cookies | Each time a user visits a service, a tool from an external provider creates an analytics cookie on the user’s computer. This cookie, created only on the visit, will be used on future visits to the website’s Services to identify the visitor anonymously. Its main purposes are: | |
| To allow anonymous identification of browsing users through the cookie (it identifies browsers and devices, not people) and therefore an approximate count of visitors and their trend over time. | ||
| To identify anonymously the most visited and therefore most attractive content for users. | ||
| To know whether the user accessing the site is new or returning. | ||
| Important: unless the user decides to register for a service on the website, the cookie will never be associated with any personal data that could identify them. These cookies will only be used for statistical purposes that help optimise the users’ experience on the site. | ||
| Behavioural advertising cookies | This type of cookie extends the information on the ads shown to each anonymous user in the website’s Services. Among other things, it stores how long or how often ad positions are viewed, the interaction with them, and the user’s browsing patterns and/or behaviour, as they help build an advertising interest profile. In this way, they make it possible to offer advertising related to the user’s interests. | |
| Third-party advertising cookies | In addition to the advertising managed by the website in its Services, the website offers its advertisers the option of serving ads through third parties (“AdServers”). These third parties may therefore store cookies sent from the website’s Services from users’ browsers and access the data stored in them. | |
